I laughed when I heard about this scheme, but take a moment to think about it. Wow, in a strange world voters could actually turn the electoral college on its head using this arrangement. Here’s the link.
Things aren’t looking so great for Barry. Nevertheless, I credit his election in 2008 to the vast numbers of naive, ignorant, or stupid people who vote for Democrats. I can’t say that Mitt has it in the bag given the aforementioned reasons. We have so many people who lack education, fail to understand how wealth is created, and believe in the mantra that taxing the rich will fix everything while collecting government handouts for their vote. In the real world where hard work, innovation, and family values leads to stability, wealth, and happiness, one has to wonder what values drive Barry and his policies. We’re less than two days from the election day. Let’s pray enough citizens with rational minds will send Barry back to Chicago, Hawaii, Jakarta, or wherever this guy is from!
Books will be written about what happened, but early on the president made two terrible legislative decisions. The stimulus bill was a political disaster, and it wasn’t the cost, it was the content. We were in crisis, losing jobs. People would have accepted high spending if it looked promising. But the stimulus was the same old same old, pure pork aimed at reliable constituencies. It would course through the economy with little effect. And it would not receive a single Republican vote in the House (three in the Senate), which was bad for Washington, bad for our politics. It was a catastrophic victory. It did say there was a new boss in town. But it also said the new boss was out of his league.
A discerning citizen will agree that Mitt Romney won the second debate. Even when a Republican is surrounded by a hostile and biased crowd, they win because they have ideas rather than spin and rhetoric. Mr. Obama had more energy this second round, but no record to stand on throughout the debate. Romney did his job and exposed all the embarrassing flaws that defined Obama’s presidency–the 5 trillion deficit being the most damning consequence of careless and reckless leadership. People who think, pay attention to facts, and simply look around and see how things are in the country will certainly make the right choice. Mitt Romney is the simple and clear choice for our country.
We should fire Mr. Obama for his lousy record, his failed policies, and his blatant dishonesty. People had placed their expectations rather high for a man whose forte is community organizing. Well, at least Barry can point to two great works of fiction that he wrote. Oh, I forgot about that Nobel prize he worked so hard to earn. Excuse me while a gag!
Regarding the debate, I’m in the same corner with Dick Morris:
But the key reason for the Romney win was substantive:
1. Romney made very clear the case against Obamas economic record and Obamas rebuttal about 5 million jobs was pathetic.
2. Romney injected the China issue, big time, and tapped into a strong public sentiment on the issue.
3. Romney made the effective case that Obama is anti-oil, coal, and gas and that this has doubled gas prices.
4. Romney was very effective in differentiating himself from Bush-43 and in establishing that, unlike the GOP of the past, he was for small businesses not big businesses.
5. Romney rebutted the attacks on him over Chinese investments.
6. Romney explained his tax plan well and to everyones satisfaction.
7. Obama erred in trying to make us believe that he always felt Libya was a terror attack. We all heard him blame the movie.
Obama scored points over the 47% statement by Romney, immigration, and by his response to the accusation that he went to Vegas after the murder of the Ambassador. But this debate goes to Romney. It seals his momentum and will lead to a big win.
So, what does a trillion look like? Come over and take a look! Now think of that huge stack and multiply it by 16. It is mind-numbing to ponder what our federal government does with our tax money, but it is even worse to think about how the politicians borrow even more money because what we have just isn’t enough. It will stop sooner or later because all of this nonsense is not sustainable. All you have to know is simple math to figure out the crushing effect of interest payments alone. Our media certainly doesn’t give this one issue the attention it truly deserves. There should be a debt clock behind every news anchor and reports should be pummeling the administration and Congress for answer regarding the out-of-control spending and the necessary cuts that must be implemented. I know, I’m just spitting in the wind.
The video speaks volumes about Barry’s ineptitude. It is time for him to go back to Chicago and sleep in that house he can now afford.
Fuel efficiency would be really nice if there wasn’t a trade off. That’s how things go until new technologies are created to address the disparities given the laws of physics. So our current president wants all these new standards that will kick in over time and ultimately kick us in the teeth. For example:
“The rule finalized today by the Obama Administration will hurt American consumers by forcing them to drive more expensive and less safe automobiles. The Administration drafted these standards in secret, strong-arming automakers and short-circuiting the deliberative regulatory process to achieve a purely political result, abandoning sound science and objectivity to appease its political allies in the extreme environmentalist lobby,” Committee Chairman Darrell Issa, R-Calif, said in a statement on the oversight panel’s website. “I support the goal of higher fuel efficiency, but this rule will only add to the burdens American small businesses and middle class families face under the heavy hand of the Obama Administration.”

Additional attention to this issue is summed up here with a couple of videos at the end. What a mess we’ll all be in if this guy wins a second term.
Nearly a decade and a half ago Ann Romney was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, and four years ago, noninvasive breast cancer added another challenge. Yet illness didn’t stop her from winning gold and silver medals in Grand Prix equestrian competition, as well as being indefatigable in charity work improving the lives of inner-city adolescent girls.
The public knows little, if any, of this. That’s because the alleged Republican “war on women” would be exposed as phony if the media didn’t wage its own war of non-reporting against this remarkable woman, pretending that Ann Romney is a dull housewife with nothing worth hearing.

The social experiment that was Barack Obama’s election and presidency is over. Way over.
As one who was born in the heart of Boston and worked the political world of Washington for 20 years, I know quite a few Democrats. Some are family, and many are close friends. Most voted for Obama in 2008. None at this point is inclined to vote for him in 2012.
Why? Because they view him as an abject failure across the board and have decided to put the welfare of their families and themselves before the empty rhetoric of the Obama campaign before it’s too late.
