The emails also show Clinton’s closest aide, Abedin, left her boss’s daily schedule in an unlocked hotel room in Trinidad and Tobago, where the secretary of state was attending a conference.
“Hi Huma,” aide Melissa Lan wrote in an email to Abedin. “Would it be possible to get one of the Secretary’s day book binders back for tomorrow’s product?”
Abedin replied, “Yes its [sic] on the bed in my room. U can take it. My door is open. I’m in lobby. Thx.”
Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton said in a statement: “No wonder Hillary Clinton and Huma Abedin hid emails from the American people, the courts and Congress. … They show the Clinton Foundation, Clinton donors, and operatives worked with Hillary Clinton in potential violation of the law.”
President Obama’s much discussed style of “leading from behind” has led to the United States metaphorically cowering under the bed. So much for President Obama’s claim that “Bin Laden is dead and Al Qaeda is on the ropes.”
Al Qaeda is now in more places around the world and stronger than ever before.
Moral decay in politics has many benchmarks. Slick Willy and his cigar make a great example. Clinton managed to keep his job though impeached. A confused and morally bankrupt Congress insured that he kept the highest office in the land. It should have never been a question of whether Bill stayed, but rather how soon could he be jettisoned from the White House. So much for standards and accountability.
Now enter Anthony Weiner. The degenerate who resigned his seat as a New York representative now seeks the New York mayor’s office. Only in the land of confusion where low information voters rule the day could such a pathetic candidate have any traction. The new revelations of continued sexting will probably be the death knell for this pervert, but ponder the fact that Weiner’s first scandal didn’t encourage him to put the brakes on his political ambitions given blatantly obvious lapse of good judgement. However, it seems good judgement isn’t a necessary job skill in politics; just look around at all the red ink and it doesn’t take long to realize that the public is incapable of electing responsible leaders.
Simply put, a man who jeopardizes his marriage demonstrates poor judgement. The callous nature of his perversion is multiplied when his conduct doesn’t cease nor diminish with the knowledge that he will soon be a father. Such profound disrespect of his wife and his family to be should automatically disqualify him from holding any public office. Not so in New York.
The chairman of the House oversight committee investigating White House involvement in the botched “gun-walking” program that led to the 2010 death of U.S. Border Patrol agent accused President Obama of downplaying his involvement in the program or intentionally obstructing the Congress’ inquiry. Rep. Darrel Issa’s letter to Obama, obtained on Tuesday, questioned the legal basis of the White House move to withhold subpoenaed documents from the Government Reform and Oversight Committee under protections afforded Obama by executive privilege. The Justice Department denied Issa’s committee the subpoenaed documents last week, prompting the GOP-led committee to vote along party lines to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress. The full House is scheduled to consider the contempt citation this week. The White House contends it’s legally entitled to withhold documents related to internal deliberations on policy and advisory discussions among Obama’s senior advisers. It was the first time Obama, who pledged a new era of government transparency, has exerted executive privilege.
